Feminists, leave Barbie alone.
And go after American Girl. I usually don’t agree with the post (except for its hilarity) and I have been a hater of American Girl dolls; their loose stereotypes got me, at age 6, interested in history. The original stories also showed a girl that she can do anything - I can still see Samantha riding that horse across the river in Samantha Saves the Day. The issues used to deal with women’s sufferage, the American revolution, and the oregon trail. I can’t help but agree that this story is somehow egregiously off kilter from the stories that I remember reading.
