You all should read the petition your favorite directors and actors have made and signed demanding Polanski’s release..it’s pretty disgusting and very self-involved. Apparently an international film event is just such a gauche place to arrest a child rapist as is Switzerland, which has a celebrated history of letting rich criminals enjoy their lives. Guh. He should stand trial. If he is convicted he should serve jail time. Also - he should get in trouble for running away from the law, that’s pretty fucked up. He also has a crazy life, B and K cannot imagine what it must be like to have your wife and unborn child killed by the Manson Family. Still not an excuse to rape and drug babies.
What kind of parents allow their child to be unattended at Jack Nicholson’s house. Haven’t they ever seen his movies?

…the legitimacy of the conversation sort of goes the way of the dinosaurs at this point. However, Roman Polanski should be tried, if he’s convicted he should serve jail time. I find especially horrific that he has been living freely and well for so long - a celebrated fugitive, mocking not only our justice system but any sense of justice for that girl he molested.
